Becky Morset, 45, of Hilo pleaded guilty Aug. 7 to second-degree theft. She received on Oct. 1 a five-year deferred acceptance of her plea with conditions that she serve one year incarceration with credit for time served and all but six months suspended provided she enter and complete a long-term residential/therapeutic living or substance abuse treatment program, pay $18,485 in fines, fees and restitution, obtain/maintain full-time work or enroll in an educational or vocational training program, provide DNA and print impressions to police and write an apology letter to the victim.

Joaquin Belisario, 51, of Kailua-Kona pleaded guilty Aug. 22 to second-degree terroristic threatening. He received on Oct. 1 a one-year deferred acceptance of his plea with conditions that he serve seven days incarceration, with credit for time served and all remaining time suspended, pay $2,130 in fines and fees and write an apology letter to the victim.

Michael Moody, 32, of Kailua-Kona pleaded guilty Oct. 2 to harassment. He was sentenced to 10 days incarceration and pay $30 in fees.

Buddy Guinto Varga, 31, of Kailua-Kona pleaded guilty Oct. 2 to second-degree terroristic threatening. He received a one-year deferred acceptance of his plea with conditions that he serve 30 days incarceration with credit for time served and all remaining time suspended, enter a domestic violence intervention program, pay $630 in fines and fees and write an apology letter to the victim.

Jennylee L. Rego, 25, of Waimea pleaded guilty Oct. 3 to two counts each of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug and possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count of second-degree promotion of a dangerous drug. She received a five-year deferred acceptance of her plea with conditions that she serve 18 months incarceration for the second-degree offense and one year for the other offenses, pay $7,175 in fines and fees, obtain/maintain full-time work or enroll in an educational or vocational training program, obtain a GED within one year, and provide DNA and print impressions to police.

Chad Lopaka Denis, 34, of Hilo pleaded guilty March 16 to second-degree theft and Oct. 4 pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree terroristic threatening and one count each of carrying or possessing a loaded firearm on a public highway and failure to have a place to keep a pistol or revolver. He was sentenced concurrently to serve up to 10 years incarceration with credit for time served, and to pay $2,035 in fees and restitution.
